In this pre-Christmas time we want to contribute something positive. We have released the newest update of UniVET System 3 software which brings number of new functions to be tested and also software modifications which has been done according to your requirements and remarks.
Main modification includes:
- Model of load determination – we have finished development of the load calculation model. The new one should be more realistic and should eliminate the limits of ergometer load regulation as much as possible…
- Internet races – It is already feasible to set up internet race and interface with others.
- Collective training – If you have more devices you can interconnect them and train with your friends in one room at the same time. You will recieve the Proffesional license on demand within the purview of testing.
- Splits - We have finished development of splits system. You can set interesting places of the route as splits. Afterwards you can compare your results with others within each split as you go along during the race. All the data is uploaded to VirtualTraining.eu and records including splits are available in the route detail.
- User interface – we make efforts to optimize user interface according to comments of users and adjust it even to the screens with low resolution. Not everything can be sorted out entirely but hopefully we managed to rectify majority of possible problems.
- The problems of data import from Suunto devices and some GPX recordings have been fixed.
- New design of rankings and virtual routes
- New ranking types – „Energy“ and „Climbs“
- New personal statistics
- Route records – UniVET 2 and UniVET 3 distinguished, splits
- And plenty of other adjustments
General modifications which should be mentioned:
- Only records from UniVET System 3 are currently displayed on the BETA VirtualTraining.eu portal (besides that only U3 records from 15.12.2011 will be displayed). We had to do this step because the recordings from older program versions had to be separated due to the different model of load determination. Moreover if you edit geometry of the route (modify altitude profile) older records will be separated…
- We are integrating the possibility of suspicious data reporting. The suspect recordings will be checked, labeled as NOT VALID and won’t be included in rankings. This system should be integrated early next year 2012.
- As soon as we oficially launch VirtualTraining.eu (12.1.2012) you will be allowed to evaluate the route only after passing the route on the ergometer using UniVET System 3. We would like to ask all users to really evaluate routes. It makes it easier for other users to choose the route for next indoor training. System of internet route searching has been adapted so that it is possible to choose the route with good evaluation comfortably.
- For now, internet races overview is in the desktop application and also on OnlineRace.eu. But the OnlineRace.eu portal is successively integrated to VirtualTraining.eu and will be much more interconnected with functions of friend invitation to race and so on.
Don’t forget to download new virtual routes from Austria and USA! We will be uploading other routes continuously. And use the new VirtualTraining.eu now already. You will find it on this address beta.virtualtraining.eu.
